APTIS 2024 is breaking the mould and turning itself into an unconference! An unconference is a primarily discussion-based event that follows a bottom-up approach and allows attendees to engage in active conversations about topics that are pertinent to them.

This ground-breaking event will take place 12-14 September 2024 at Newcastle University and will also be accessible in 'light-hybrid' mode. It will bring together translation studies scholars and professional translators (freelance and in-house) with academics and professionals from other fields (e.g. nursing, psychology, legal & accounting, coaching) to explore and discuss the complex relationship between ethics and self-care in contemporary practice.
